Potts became an instant YouTube phenomenon when he auditioned for and subsequently won Simon Cowell’s ‘Britain's Got Talent’ in 2007.
Irish actor Colm Meany plays Roland Potts, the father of Paul who is being played by James Corden.
Julie Walters co-stars as Potts' mother and the cast also includes Mackenzie Crook, Jemima Rooper and Alexandra Roach – with Simon Cowell, who produced the movie, making a cameo appearance.
Meaney recently starred in ‘Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa’ helmed by Irish director Declan Lowney, and stars in ‘A Belfast Story’ set to be released in Irish cinemas on 20th September.
