TVM, the Cork-based Outside Broadcasting providers, are celebrating the success of their round-the-clock coverage of the G8 Summit in Fermanagh in June – spanning 53 hours of footage to broadcasters around the world.
Founded in 1986 by husband and wife team Bart and Helen Arnold, TVM have expanded their operation over the years to seven Outside Broadcasting units encompassing the latest in video and sound technology.
Mr Arnold said: ‘The G8 Summit was a huge success for TVM. We are very proud of all our team who made a superb effort to deliver a top-class technical solution for this event.’
The TVM team based themselves in the media centre in Killyhevlin, Co. Fermanagh, for the summit where they distributed over 160 feeds from their newest Outside Broadcasting unit, OB8, to the worlds’ broadcasters - each with their own unique embedded audio configurations.
In addition to handling multiple audio and video feeds, TVM were able to respond very quickly to requests for source changes and replays of the press conferences during the summit.
As leaders in the Outside Broadcast of major events, TVM count among their clients the BBC, BBC NI, CTN, ESPN, IMG, ITN, Nemeton, RTÉ, Setanta, SKY Sports, TV3, TG4 and many independent production houses.
Other highlights of their 2013 coverage so far include the Sky Sports soccer internationals, ICC Champions Trophy, European Athletics championships, TV3 GAA Championship, Setanta Soccer and Irish horse racing.
