Game of Thrones Director Neil Marshall Back for Season 4 Battle
Neil Marshall, director of ‘The Descent’ and ‘Dog Soldiers’, is reportedly returning to direct a major battle episode in season four of Game of Thrones, following his successful helming of the Battle of Blackwater at the climax of season two. As George R.R. Martin’s third book - ‘A Storm of Swords Part 1: Steel & Snow’ - was split in half for the HBO adaptation, TV fans were left without any battle in season three, heightening anticipation for Marshall’s return. Production on season four will commence this summer when the epic series returns to Northern Ireland and Paint Hall Studio in Belfast.

‘Despicable Me 2’ Defeats ‘Lone Ranger’ at Box Office
Universal Picture’s animated sequel ‘Despicable Me 2’ is proving a massive hit for the studio this July 4th Independence day weekend in the US, where it has crushed its box office rival, Disney’s ‘The Lone Ranger’ with Johnny Depp. The five-day debut for the former is now estimated to be in the region of $130 million, while the latter will struggle to reach $50 million. By comparison, ‘Despicable Me 2’ cost $76 million to produce, while ‘The Lone Ranger’ cost at least $250 million, providing that the reunion of ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ director Gore Verbinski and Captain Jack Sparrow was not the safe bet many had presumed.

Feel-good Film ‘The Way, Way Back’ Launches Trailer
Fox Searchlight, the studio behind ‘Juno’ and ‘Little Miss Sunshine’, has released a trailer for their upcoming family friendly feel-good comedy ‘The Way, Way Back’ starring Steve Carell and Sam Rockwell. Writers and directors on the film, Jim Rash and Nat Faxon, won Oscars last year for their screenplay for ‘The Descendants’, making hopes high for their follow-up feature. ‘The Way, Way Back’ follows the adventures of shy, awkward teen Duncan, who is dreading the prospect of spending summer with his mum (Toni Collette) and her overbearing boyfriend (Carell). But things improve when he strikes up an unlikely friendship with Owen (Rockwell) and meets a nice girl. The film is out on 28th August and the trailer is available to view below.
