Titanic Belfast will play host to the ‘Game of Thrones’ Exhibition which opens this Saturday 8th June, at the end of a five city worldwide tour encompassing Toronto, New York City, Sao Paolo, Amsterdam and finally Belfast.
With season three of the hit HBO fantasy epic drawing to a close next Monday, fans hungry for more can satisfy their appetite for all things Westeros with the free exhibition showcasing costumes, weapons and artefacts from the houses of Stark, Lannister, Targaryen, Baratheon and Greyjoy.
Production for 'Game of Thrones' was based in Belfast from the start, with filming taking place in Titanic Studios and across Northern Ireland at locations including the North Coast, Tollymore Forest Park and Castle Ward.
More than 70 original artefacts from the three seasons will be on display, alongside an exact replica of the Iron throne that you can sit on for a photo opportunity designed to make your Facebook friends jealous.
Head costume designer Michele Clapton oversaw the exhibition, which includes model dragons, crowns, weaponry, helmets, shields, armour and King Joffrey’s longbow - used for sinister purposes in the show.
Another highlight is the ‘Blackwater Bay Interactive Experience’, which will allow fans to play the part of Bronn in trying to light wildfire with flaming arrows, as featured in the climax of Season 2.
Advance tickets for exhibition are sold out but there will be walk-up availability at the venue on each day of the exhibition, running 8th-17th June.
