Former heads of the British Film Institute and UK Film Council - are confirmed for UK & Irish producer panel which has been added to the already impressive line-up for next week’s John Ford Ireland Symposium.
The panel discussion will take place next Friday 7th June at 2pm in the National Concert Hall, Dublin, with participants including Andrew Lowe, Katie Holly, Andrew Eaton, Tanya Seghatchian and John Woodward.
Andrew Lowe of Ireland’s Element Pictures, will feature on the panel, whose producing credits include ‘The Guard’, ‘Shadow Dancer’ and Lenny Abrahamson’s forthcoming ‘Frank’.
Katie Holly, Managing Director of Blinder Films and newly-appointed member of the Irish Film Board, will round out the panel, whose recent credits comprise the IFTA-winning 'Citadel', 'Jump' and 'The Savage Eye'.
Tanya Seghatchian, co-producer on the first four Harry Potter films, Bafta winner for ‘My Summer of Love’ and, until recently, funding chief for the BFI Film Fund, will be in attendance.
John Woodward, current Managing Director of Arts Alliance and former head of the BFI and UK Film Council, will also be joining the panel, whose achievements include the ‘Love Film’ movie streaming site and the founding of the Met Film School in London.
Andrew Eaton of Revolution Films, will represent Northern Ireland on the panel, and is known for such films as ‘24 Hour Party People’, ‘Mighty Heart’, ‘The Claim’; ‘Good Vibrations’, ‘The Look of Love’ and Ron Howard’s ‘Rush’.
