TVM - one of Ireland’s leading outside broadcasting facilities, based in Bartlemy in Cork - has been recognised for the cutting edge design of its headquarters at the Green Awards, held in the Burlington hotel, Dublin.
Their winning headquarters building provides 1,250 square metre ‘state of the art’ interconnected offices, meeting rooms, an editing suite, canteen, engineering workshops and equipment stores accommodation.
It also incorporates an air handling system, energy saving lighting system, rain water recycling, and solar panels capable of powering the entire office section of the building on a bright day.
In keeping with the principles of Passive Haus Design, the building was designed with the involvement of TVM owners Bart and Helen Arnold along with architect Sabine Witmann and E-Project chartered architects, Dungarvan.
Since it was founded in 1986, TVM has established itself as a leading outside broadcasting facility with highlights from 2013 including Sky Sports Heineken Cup, Sky Sports International Soccer Friendlies, TG4 & RTÉ GAA League coverage and RTÉ Racing.
