‘Love/Hate’, Good Vibrations, Morning Win at Zebbie Awards
20 May 2013 : By Gearóid Gilmore
‘Love/Hate’ writer Stuart Carolan picked up the Television Script award for the third year in a row at the ZeBBie Awards last Thursday.

Hosted by Senator David Norris, the ZeBBie Awards were established by the Writers’ Guild of Ireland to celebrate writing in Ireland for radio, stage and screen.

Carolan took the award ahead of fellow nominees James Phelan (‘Rásaí na Gaillimhe’) and the writing team from ‘Republic of Telly’ (who were nominated for the show’s Christmas Special).

Colin Carberry and Glenn Patterson picked up the award for Feature Film Script for their writing of ‘Good Vibrations’. Directed by Lisa Barros D’Sa and Glenn Layburn, the film chronicles the life of Terri Hooley, a record-store owner who was instrumental in developing Belfast’s punk-rock scene during the Troubles. Carberry and Patterson picked up the award ahead of Malcolm Campbell (What Richard Did) and Kieron J.Walsh (Jump).
