Danny DeVito, Joss Whedon and Tim Roth will be in Dublin next month for the Jameson Dublin International Film Festival.

The filmmakers were announced as special attendees today, as well as ‘Chinatown’ screenwriter Richard Towne, French directors Olivier Assayas and Costa-Gavras, ‘Frost/Nixon’ actor Frank Langella, and Irish actor Gabriel Byrne.

The programme for the 11th festival, which was launched today by ‘Love/Hate’ actor Killian Scott and ‘The Clinic’ actress Kelly Campbell, revealed that the highly anticipated Irish feature ‘The Hardy Bucks Movie’ will receive its premiere at the festival, while IFTA-nominated director Kieron J Walsh’s ‘Jump’ will be screened, along with the Sarah Bolger-starring ‘The Moth Diaries’, Kieran Evans’s ‘Kelly+Victor’ and Irish/Swedish co-production ‘Call Girl’.

The Jameson Cult Film Club will feature the Danny DeVito-starring ‘LA Confidential’, which the Oscar-nominated actor will attend. British actor Tim Roth will be on hand for the screening of his latest feature ‘Broken’, which has been written by ‘Intermission’ scribe Mark O’Rowe and stars Cillian Murphy. Both O’Rowe and director Rufus Norris are also expected to attend the screening.

‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ helmer and ‘Avengers Assemble’ director Joss Whedon will combine the modern and the classic with a retelling of Shakespeare’s comedy ‘Much Ado About Nothing’, while Frank Langella, best known for his role in the 2008 film ‘Frost/Nixon’, will attend the screening of his latest film ‘Robot & Frank’, in which he plays a retired jewel thief.

Other highlights among the 2013 programme include Irish co-production ‘Mea Maxima Culpa: Silence in the House of God’ and ‘The Summit’, which has just received US distribution following its success at last weekend’s Sundance Festival.

The 11th Jameson Dublin International Film Festival will take place from the February 14-24. The full programme will be available to view from the festival website at 7pm this evening.
