A new state-of-the-art post-production facility has opened in Dublin city centre, with Emmy Award-winning editor Bob Caldwell at the helm.
Caldwell has opened House Post Production, situated in a former mews building in Stephen’s Place.
The new facility offers four edit suites, which run AVID Symphony 6 or FCP, and it supplies in-house graphics and Avatar Audio mixing.
There are also rooms available to rent, with an editor or for dry hire.
This will be Dublin-based editor Caldwell’s second time to open a post house in Dublin, having previously run Bobby C TV, from which he worked on Irish shows ‘In Search of the Pope’s Children’ and ‘Freefall’, both of which won an IFTA Award.
Caldwell was previously based in London, where he worked for the award-winning post house West One. He travelled the world editing for Formula 1 Motor Racing, and picked up an Emmy Award for his work on the Beijing Olympics coverage in 2008, and a BAFTA Award for ITV’s ‘The Quick Trick Show’.
At present, Caldwell is busy cutting the Ruán Magan and David Keoghan-produced documentary ‘Six Bullets To Fire’, which is filming over three years, as well as RTÉ show ‘See You at the Pictures’ for Planet Korda.
He continues to edit on an international level with NBC America, covering the PGA golf tournament and the Olympic Games.
House Post Production is currently open for business in Stephen’s Place in Dublin’s city centre.
