John Hamm & John Slattery Stepping Behind Camera For ‘Mad Men’ Season 6… The Emmy-nominated actors will both direct episodes for the upcoming season of the period show, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Hamm, who plays Don Draper, a partner in the advertising firm Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce, previously directed the two opening episodes of series five, which saw the ‘Mad Men’ cast leave the 1960s behind and enter the 1970s. Slattery, who plays ad exec and fellow partner Roger Sterling, also previously directed three episodes in 2012. He will direct a further two for season six, with the first starting production in February.
‘30 Rock’ Gets An End Date… NBC has officially announced the last episode ever of popular its popular TV series ‘30 Rock’ will air in the US on January 31. The series comes to an end after six years and seven seasons. The highly-anticipated wedding episode, which sees Tina Fey’s head writer of TGS character Liz Lemmon finally marry, earned 3.6 million viewers when it aired on Thursday November 29. Alec Baldwin, Tracy Jordan and Jane Krawoski also star in the Comedy Central show.
Sky+ App Wins Two Appy Awards… The Sky+ app won ‘Best Entertainment App’ and Best Tablet App” at the annual Appy Awards in Dublin last week. The app has been downloaded over 3.6 million times in Ireland and the UK, and offers existing Sky customers to navigate their Sky Guides from their phones or tablet devices. Customers cans et reminders or record shows via the app. The app also provides TV listings.
