Michael Fassbender & Andrew Scott Make Hospital Club’s Hot 100
14 Nov 2012 : By Eva Hall
Andrew Scott & Michael Fassbender have both made the h.Club100 List
Irish actors Michael Fassbender and Andrew Scott have made the Hospital Club’s Hot 100 List this year.

The Hospital Club is a members’ club for those in the creative industries, and curates the prestigious list each year with the aim to celebrate “all those individuals who have brought the most influence, innovation and inspiration to the British Creative and Media industries in the past 12 months.”

Fassbender is the only Irish filmmaker listed in the Film category, which also features ‘The Dark Knight Rises’ star Tom Hardy, ‘The Bourne Ultimatum’ actor Paddy Considine, ‘Trainspotting’ director Danny Boyle and James Bond producer Barbara Broccoli.

Dublin actor Scott is the only Irish entry in the TV category, listed alongside his ‘Sherlock’ co-star Benedict Cumberbatch, BBC presenter Clare Balding, and ‘This Is England’ actress Vicky McClure.

The annual h.Club100 list is voted on by the public, after industry experts submit nominations, which are then whittled down by industry judges. The 100 is made up of 10 lists for 10 different industries, including Film, TV, Fashion, Music, Art & Design, Advertising, Marketing & PR, Theatre, Performance, Digital & Gaming and Publishing & Writing.

Fassbender has been gaining momentum on the awards circuit of late, with a Best Actor nomination at this year’s European Film Academy Awards, as well as his film ‘Shame’ up for People’s Choice at the ceremony on December 1. The Kerry-native will be back on home soil next month to film Lenny Abrahamson’s feature ‘Frank’, with Domhnall Gleeson.

IFTA and BAFTA-winning actor Scott meanwhile is currently in Dublin filming John Butler’s ‘The Stag’ alongside former ‘The Clinic’ actress Amy Huberman.
