Chat show host Jonathan Ross has landed a new film series on ITV with his production company Hot Sauce. The former BBC radio and TV host’s company is producing the show which will begin airing in April 2013. Among the guests lined up for the new series are English comedian Ross Noble, who stars in Irish comedy-horror ‘Stitches’. Ross previously fronted his own movie review show on BBC, which is now presented by Claudia Winkleman. He currently has his own Saturday night chat show on ITV.
Members of the WGAE Get Black List Discount… The Writers Guild of America, East (WGAE) has announced a partnership with The Hollywood Black List (www.blcklst.com), which will give Guild members a discount to host their work on the new Black List subscription site. The Black List, an archive of the best unproduced screenplays, announced last month it was launching a new paid service where any screenwriter can upload their script to an online database for a fee. Previous Black Listed scripts which made their way to the production stage include the Quentin Tarantino-directed ‘Django Unchained’ and the Michael Fassbender-attached ‘Jane Got a Gun’.
‘Game of Thrones’ Casts Coldplay Drummer… Coldplay drummer Will Champion is following in fellow musician Gary Lightbody’s footsteps by accepting a role in series three of Irish-shot mini-series ‘Game of Thrones’. Champion, an original member of the London-based band, is reported to have been cast as a drummer on the HBO epic, which recently moved its production from Northern Ireland to Iceland. Snow Patrol frontman Lightbody filmed his scenes in Northern Ireland earlier this year. ‘Game of Thrones’ is expected to return to Sky Atlantic in March 2013.
