Acclaimed Hollywood director Barry Sonnenfeld will be in Dublin later this month after being added to the list of speakers at the upcoming Dublin Web Summit.
Sonnenfeld, whose career as a director includes the ‘Men In Black’ trilogy; ‘The Addams Family’ and ‘Get Shorty’, will deliver one of the keynote addresses at the two-day event which will take place over October 17-18.
Prior to his work as a director, Sonnenfeld also worked with the Coen brothers, Joel and Ethan Coen on ‘Blood Simple’, ‘Raising Arizona’ and ‘Miller’s Crossing’.
The 59-year-old New Yorker recently contributed to Esquire magazine’s “digital man” and regularly gave his opinion on new and emerging technology.
His address is expected to focus on technology and is unlikely to focus on his film career.
The date on which Sonnenfeld will speak at the Web Summitt has yet to be finalised. More than 3,000 people are expected to attend the event which will be staged in the RDS in Ballsbridge, Dublin 4.
