New hidden camera show ‘The Fear’ is to air on RTÉ Two this Monday (October 1) with graphics supplied by Dublin-based motion graphics company Emberlight.

Shot around Ireland in Dublin, Sligo, Cork, Tralee and Killarney, the six-part comedy show has been produced by Second Tribe, staffed by the team behind ‘Republic of Telly’.

The show will feature Jennifer Maguire, Hilary Rose, Ross Browne and Chris Tordoff playing pranks on the general public.

Post-production and motion graphics company Emberlight provided all the motion design on the show. This included the animation of opening and closing sequences; transitions, and the chromakeying and compositing of character profiles and idents used throughout the series.

The work was carried out by Emberlight’s Joe Kilbride and Jennifer Markham. The company was also responsible for design of promotional material for online and print. The opening titles graffiti provided by Dublin street artist Maser.

The show is created and written by Derek Dillion, Shane Mulvey and Peter Foott with Foott doubling as series producer and Dillion and Mulvey both directing and producing. James Cotter is the executive producer.

Other crew involved in the shoot include camera men James O’Reilly, Stuart Teehan, Ed Godsell, Michael Lavelle and Derek Nagle.

The series was edited by Conor Mc Mahon, Emmet Reddy and Genevieve Murphy with Mark Bennett as assistant editor. Fionan Higgins is sound editor while online and colour grade is by Panic Post Production.

Music is supervised and composed by Johnny Moy and composed by Sweetersounds. Joanne O’Brien was the head of costume and props, while assistant producers are Alexandra Rooney and Julie Ryan.

‘The Fear’ airs on RTÉ Two on Monday nights at 9:30pm from October 1.
