Luc Besson launches film school… French filmmaker and ‘Lockout’ producer Luc Besson is taking application's to his L'Ecole de la Cite film school, which will enroll students from September. The school will be housed at the new La Cite du Cinema, France's largest studio complex, which officially opens the same month. The application process, which includes a three-part admission test, is free and open to adults age 18-to-25. It closes July 5.
Company Pictures founders quit to set up new All3 Media indie…Producers George Faber and Charles Pattinson are to leave Company Pictures after 14 years to set up a new drama indie within the All3Media group, reports Broadcast. The joint managing directors will step down next March 2013 and aim to have set up their new venture by September. Company will continue without the founding duo.
