Negga, whose credits include popular Irish drama ‘Love/Hate’ and Neil Jordan’s ‘Breakfast on Pluto’, is nominated for her performance in the BBC Two drama ‘Shirley’, which also won her an Irish Film & Television Award for Actress Television at the 2012 IFTAs. Ruth faces competition from ‘This is England ‘88’ star Vicky McClure and ‘Appropriate Adult’ actress Emily Watson.
