The Galway Film Centre, in association with RTÉ, have announced they will grant two awards of €9,500 each as part of their 2012 Short Film Awards.
The GFC is seeking short script applications by deadline 12 noon, March 30th.
Scripts submitted should be as close to a final draft as possible. The winning script-writer will work with the assistance of a professional script editor to finalise and polish the script before shooting. €9,000 will be awarded towards the production costs and €500 will be used to hire the services of a script editor to work with the writer.
Previous winners of this award include Thomas Heffernon's 'Switch', Pat Comer’s ‘The Day Trippers’; James Phelan’s ‘The Ottoman Empire’ and Conor Ferguson’s IFTA nominated ‘The Wednesdays’.
