New Irish children’s drama ‘Eliot and Me’ will premiere on RTÉ Two at 9.15am on Thursday 29th December.
‘Eliot and Me’ tells the story of 10 year old Lucy who struggles to come to terms with her parents separation and rescues a dog ‘Eliot’ from a local shelter only to have him go missing. Lucy must now undertake a dangerous journey to find him.
The one hour long drama was made by Fubar Films with the participation with the Irish Film Board in association with RTÉ.
It is directed by Fintan Connolly (Flick) who directs daughter Ella Connolly (Wakewood), IFTA winning actress Renée Weldon (Trouble With Sex), David Wilmot (The Guard), Gerard Mannix Flynn (Trouble With Sex, Flick), Vincent McCabe (Game of Thrones, Fair City), Des FitzGerald (The Trespassers) and newcomers Joshua Brown and Lauren Stone.
The script was developed and co-written by Connolly and producer Fiona Bergin. Director of photography was Owen McPolin (Doctor Who). It was edited by Guy Montgomery (Parked, The Clinic) and music was composed by Stephen Rennicks (The Pipe, Garage). Post production was done in EGG.
‘Eliot and Me’ will be broadcast on RTÉ Two this Christmas at 9.15am on Thursday 29th December.
