Graham Cantwell's 'Callback Queen' Enters Post
24 Nov 2011 : By Ciara Drohan
The Callback Queen
London based romantic comedy ‘The Callback Queen’, written and directed by Graham Cantwell (Trapped, Anton) has finished principal photography and has entered post production.

The independent film stars Irish actors Amy Joyce Hastings (The Tudors, Little Deaths), Ger Ryan (Raw, Intermission) and Sean T. O'Meallaigh (Kings, Seacht). The story follows the exploits of Kate Loughlin played by Hastings who is an ambitious but unlucky actress on the cusp of her big break and is set in the cut throat world of the London film industry.

Speaking about the film Cantwell told IFTN, "We have a few more days to shoot, including a fantasy film within a film sequence that will be shot in North Wales. We have begun the offline edit in London and we hope to complete the grade and sound mix in Dublin in the New Year". The film will be posting with one of the bigger post houses but it has yet to be decided upon. Cantwell said, ‘We're going to get the film to the fine edit and proceed from there.’

Limestreet Sound, who created the sound for Cantwell's last feature, the IFTA nominated ‘Anton’, are on board to do the sound design and mix. Managing Director Steve McGrath told IFTN, "It's always a pleasure to work with Graham, who will challenge us to create the best soundtrack we can. A producer who values sound is always someone Limestreet Sound wish to be associated with into the future.

The soundtrack for the film will feature music from up and coming Irish artists including 21 Demands, Fiona Gill and The Fallen Drakes, who recently won the 2011 RTE 2FM RAAP breakthrough award.
