EXCLUSIVE: Golden Globe nominated actress Joely Richardson (The Patriot, Nip Tuck) is attached to play Countess Markievicz in Ciaran Donnelly’s new epic TV series ‘Titanic: Blood and Steel’.
In an interview with IFTN earlier today, director Donnelly confirmed that Richardson would be joining the production, currently filming on locations across Dublin.
The ‘Anonymous’ actress is no stranger to Irish shores having previously filmed ‘The Tudors’ in Ireland and visited Dublin in February to attend the 'Irish Film & Television Awards'.
’Titanic: Blood & Steel’ is co-Produced by Irish based Epos Films and the Italian De Angelis group, the series tells the story of how the legendary ship was built in Belfast.
Chris Noth (Sex and the City), Neve Campbell (Scream), Derek Jacobi (Gladiator) and Kevin Zegers (Gossip Girl) are all currently filming the project, alongside Irish actors Martin McCann (Killing Bono), Michael McElhatton (Perrier’s Bounty) and Liam Cunningham (The Wind that Shakes the Barley) who is playing Jim Larkin.
