Irish actor Colin Farrell (Total Recall, Horrible Bosses) is to star alongside Swedish actress Noomi Rapace, star of ‘Girl with the Dragon Tattoo’, in a new action thriller called ‘Dead Man Down’ which is to be directed by Neils Adren Oplev who also directed the Swedish feature film versions of the Millennium trilogy, reports from LA suggest.
‘Dead Man Down’ tells the story of Victor, played by Farrell, a gangster working for a crime lord in New York who is seduced by Beatrice played by Rapace who seeks revenge after becoming a victim of a violent crime.
The film has already received $30 million financing from independent financing and production company IM Global. It will be produced by Original Film who also produced the ‘Fast and Furious’ movies and ‘I am Legend’ and screenwriter J.H. Wyman (Fringe) of Frequency Films.
The feature is believed to start shooting early next year and has already been sold at the American Film Market according to a release issued by IM Global.
