The 2012 Dingle Film Festival is calling for new Irish films, as part of their celebration of Irish Film to take place on Saturday March 17th, St. Patrick’s Day.
The festival is looking for submissions of films which are Irish or have a strong Irish connection to be shown on St. Patrick’s Day, during the festival. The day will also include discussions on achievement in Irish film making to date and the future of Irish film making, with key Irish filmmakers being invited to participate. It will culminate in the presentation of The Gregory Peck Award: For Excellence in the Art of Film. Previous winners of the award include Jim Sheridan in 2009, Stephen Frears in 2010 and Jean-Jacques Beineix in 2011.
Interested producers /filmmakers should send a screener DVD to Dingle Film Festival, The Space, Garraun, Firies, Killarney, Co. Kerry before December 6th 2011.
