Development producer and Scriptwriter Chris Baugh from Northern Ireland based production company Sixteen South Television was one of the 58 young professionals chosen by Broadcast for their Hot Shots list.
29 year old Chris has written award-winning episodes for CBeebies puppet shows ‘Sesame Tree’ and the IFTA winning ‘Big City Park’. Baugh is currently working as script supervisor and writer on the Jim Henson Company co-production ‘Pajanimals’. ‘Pajanimals’ is a 52x11 series which will air on the US 24-hour preschool television channel Sprout. It has been shooting in Belfast since July.
Sixteen South’s Founder and Creative Director Colin Williams told IFTN that “Chris has been with us for four years. He started as a Camera Assistant on ‘Sesame Tree’. I knew that he was someone who wanted to direct and write. And we want to help people develop here at Sixteen South.
“He has written on four different shows for us. And he is a great writer. It was his episode in ‘Big City Park’ that won the IFTA. He is a great writer and a fun guy. He just gets children’s sensibilities.”
