Kildare County Council Arts Service are looking to enlist young filmmakers aged 21-25 to document the Dance and Movement Summer School 2011. Participants will be mentored by an experienced filmmaker on the process of recording dance on film and developing a documentary.
The project is designed to suit emerging filmmakers, directors or producers who wish to add content to their showreel. Expenses will be covered by Kildare County Council Arts Services and successful participants will be paid a fee of €200.
The chose participants will document the summer school which focuses on the work of one of the founders of European Modern Dance, Rudolf Laban. Participants will be required to attend the Summer School in Maynooth from Monday 11th – Friday 15th July 2011 and a Laban workshop on either Saturday 10th or Sunday 12th June.
Interested applicants should send a expression of interest letter detailing what role you would like to take in the project (cameraman, director etc.) and a current CV and showreel (this can be links to videos) via email to arts@kildarecoco.ie by Thursday 9th of June 2011.
