Screentime ShinAwil is currently in pre-production on the upcoming series of the IFTA winning format, ‘The Apprentice’. The series will shoot in Dublin this June and will see the format changed slightly. Participants are currently being sought for the new series.
The series, first produced by ShinAwil in 2008 will see entrepreneur Bill Cullen setting weekly tasks for would-be entrepreneurs. In a change from previous years, the show’s winner receiving a package worth €200,000 including a €100,000 cash prize in order to start up or develop their own business as opposed to landing a high paid role in one of Bill Cullen’s businesses.
The series is set to shoot in Dublin from June 11th until the start of August and it will broadcast mid-September on TV3. The series producer is Eugena Cooney who takes over the role from Lynda McQuaid. The producers of the series are Anthony Nilan (assistant producer, Fame: The Musical) and Doireann O’Hara. The production manager is Julie O’Loughlin and Larry Bass (Masterchef) returns as the series’ executive producer. Screentime ShinAwil is also currently in pre-production with new cookery reality series, 'Masterchef'.
Participant applications are currently being invited until Thursday, May 5th after which a selection of applicants will be called to take part in an interview process on Sunday, May 8th with the possibility of progressing to a further round of interviews from Friday, May 13th onwards.
