October Eleven Pictures are currently in pre-production with new Irish feature, ‘Box’. The psychological drama stars Bryan Murray (The Irish RM), Cora Fenton (Strength and Honour) and Bill Fellows (SoulBoy) and will start to shoot in Dublin on June 15th.
Written by Bernadette Manton (Blood), the film sees Bryan Murray’s John and Cora Fenton’s Jane trying to come to terms with the murder of their daughter. They hatch a vengeance plan which centres around high-flying architect Peter, played by Bill Fellows.
The HD film will be co-directed by Bernadette Manton and Jason Figgis (A Christmas Carol) who praises the feature’s cast, telling IFTN he is '' thrilled to have secured such a powerful cast for this film which requires measured and intensely concentrated performances from all involved.”.
Jason and Bernadette are also producing the feature, alongside regular collaborator Jason Shalloe who was 1st Assistant Director on Figgis' 'A Christmas Carol' which will premiere later in 2011. Jonathan Figgis (The Guards) will be executive producer on the project. Rehearsals for the feature begin in May and the film will shoot for 14 days from Wednesday, June 15th. Funding for the low-budget film has been provided by private investor funding.
‘Box’ will be post produced at October Eleven Creatives, the film company's post facility and will be overseen by Jason, who is also the film’s director of photography, and Bernadette throughout its edit, sound mix and colour grade. The film’s production designer is Aoife Keogh (Blood) whilst Natty Dupone is the feature’s costume designer.
