Fresh from it's win a the Amien's film festival, Kealan O’Rourke’s award winning short film ‘Fairycatcher’ will screen at 23.25 on RTÉ Monday 12th of December.
‘Fairycatcher’, written and directed by Kealan O’Rourke and produced by Adrian Devane, is a poignant story of a young fairy who, after witnessing the brutal death of his friend at the hands of a mysterious creature, is captured by the Queen's Fairycatcher. The film recently won the “Prix des Enfants de la Licorne” for Best European Short Film at the Amiens International Festival 2010. The dark fantasy tale stars Des Braiden (Waiting for Dublin) and Daire McCormack (King Arthur) and recently picked up the Bram Stoker Academy of Film Award, part of the Halloween Festival of Horror in Dublin, last month.
