Cameras will roll on the set of Mind the Gap Films’ latest project next week. Belfast will play host to the shooting of a half hour pilot of a comedy series about disability for BBC NI which will be presented by comedian Adam Hill.
The series which is, as of yet, untitled will look to show that stand-up comedy can refer to disability in an inclusive way, without reinforcing stereotypes or causing offence. It will be presented by stand up comedian Adam Hill, who himself was born without a right foot, examining the relationship between comedy and disability. The half hour pilot currently in pre-production will see Adam explore the experience of people of short stature where he will talk with fellow comedian Tanyalee Davis.
The pilot is being produced by Anne Heffernan (An bhFuil Cead Agam, Hands On), executive produced by Bernadine Carragher (Celebrity Jigs and Reels) and directed by Conor O’Mahony (cinematographer, Guy’s Dog). The project’s director of photography and editor are TBC.
