Toy Story 3
‘TOY STORY 3’ director, Lee Unkrich and producer, Darla K. Anderson are set to attend an exclusive Irish Film & Television Academy (IFTA) screening of their latest feature length animation in Dublin next month. The duo will participate in a Q&A session with IFTA Academy Members following the movie.

Unkrich, who was co-director of ‘TOY STORY 2’ and ‘Finding Nemo’, and producer Anderson (Cars, Monsters. Inc) will be interviewed by the IFTA winning and Oscar nominated Irish director of ‘The Secret of Kells’ Tomm Moore. IFTA Members and their guests will also be among the first to view the film in Disney Digital 3-D ™.

‘TOY STORY 3’ sees the creators of the popular ‘TOY STORY’ films re-open the toy box and bring moviegoers back to the delightful world of Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz (Tim Allen) and the rest of the Andy’s beloved toys. The third film commences as a grown up Andy heads off to college leaving his loyal toys troubled about their uncertain future. Oscar winning screenwriter Michael Arndt (Little Miss Sunshine) also brings his unique talents and comedic sensibilities to the proceedings.

The stellar vocal cast reunites Hanks and Allen with Joan Cusack as Jessie, Don Rickles as Mr. Potato Head, Wallace Shawn as Rex, John Ratzenberger as Hamm, and Estelle Harris as Mrs. Potato Head. Joining the adventure is Michael Keaton as the iconic swinging bachelor and Barbie’s counterpart, Ken; Timothy Dalton as a lederhosenwearing thespian hedgehog named Mr. Pricklepants; and Ned Beatty as a pink, strawberry-scented teddy bear called Lots-o’-Huggin’ Bear.

This preview screening is part of the IFTA Academy’s series of summer events and will take place in Dublin on 10th July. IFTA Members also recently enjoyed a screening plus Q&A of Ken Wardrop’s feature documentary ‘His & Hers’, with more forthcoming IFTA event highlights to be announced shortly.
