‘Ondine’ star Colin Farrell has signed on to star in Craig Gillespie’s re-make of the 1985 horror film, ‘Fright Night’. The Dubliner will star in the film as the blood-sucking neighbour of Toni Collette (Little Miss Sunshine) and Anton Yelchin (Terminator Slavation).
‘Fright Night’ centres on Yelchin’s teenage character who discovers Colin Farrell’s vampire character living next door. No-one believes the boy and his mother, played by Collette, even starts to fall for her neighbour.
‘Fright Night’ will be based on the original 1985 original scrennplay by Tom Holland (Child’s Play) and, as mentioned, is to be directed by Craig Gillespie (Lars and the Real Girl). The film will shoot next year in the U.S.
