Rachel Hurd-Wood in 'Perfume: The Story of a Murderer'
Cameras started to roll of the set of feature film, ‘The Last Furlong’ on Monday, May 10th. The film, which stars Rachel Hurd-Wood (Peter Pan, Dorian Gray) and Harry Treadaway (Fishtank), will shoot on location in Wicklow and Meath for the next eight weeks.

‘The Last Furlong’, a Franco/Irish/Swedish co-production, centres on a love between two teenagers. ‘The Last Furlong’ is written by Nick Murphy (The Running Mate) and directed by Agnes Merlet (Dorothy Mills).

Tim Fleming (Once) is the director of photography for the project which is being produced by James Flynn (Ondine) for Octagon, Jean-Luc Ormières (Priest Daens) for France’s Fidelité and Sean Wheelan (Centurion) for Sweden’s Filmgate Films. It is further supported by Eurimages.

The film’s budget is 6.6 millions euros. Post production will take in France, Sweden and Ireland and the film will receive a theatrical release in France and Ireland. France’s Wild Bunch has bought the worldwide distribution rights. The release date for the film is TBC.
