Telegael Gets ‘Alexander and Pete' & '24 Little Hours'
21 Apr 2010 :
Telegael Media Group are currently in pre-production with a new pilot for a live action children’s comedy series entitled ‘Alexander and Pete’. The company is also developing ’24 Little Hours’, a four part live action drama with broadcaster RTÉ.

Alexander and Pete

The Galway based production company is gearing up to shoot the pilot of ‘Alexander and Pete’, which is to be co-produced by Super RTL in Germany. The live-action/CGI tween series is for the International market.

The show’s main protagonist, Alexander (13) is a loveable “cool” kid with two best friends, a devoted Dad, a totally teenage sister, and one main passion in life…magic! An amateur magician, Alexander is an expert on its history and knows everything there is to know about its famous magicians. He’s got an Encyclopedia of Magic as well as a treasured box full of tricks. He’s got pictures and posters, coins and cards, but the one thing Alexander doesn’t have is any knowledge of his true powers. But Alexander’s life is about to change with the sudden arrival of an extraordinary new friend…a six hundred-year-old talking rabbit named Pete!

‘Alexander and Pete’ is produced by Grainne McNamara (Up For Air) and executive producer is Paul Cummins (Skunk Fu!). The pilot’s direct, director of photography and cast are TBC and the pilot will shot in Galway from June 4 - 6.

24 Little Hours

Telegael’s other new project, ’24 Little Hours’, is a four part live action drama that is currently in development with RTÉ. The series is also to be produced by Grainne McNamara and executive produced by Paul Cummins.

The script for ’24 Little Hours’ is currently being written and the adult drama series is expected to start shooting in summer 2011 in Galway.
