The IFTA winning feature documentary ‘His & Hers’ will receive an Irish theatrical release from Friday, June 18th. ‘His & Hers’ is a cinematic mosaic that tells a 90-year-old love story through the collective voice of 70 ladies at different stages in their lives.
The story of ‘His & Hers’ unfolds sequentially from young to old and looks to celebrate the ordinary moments that add up to the extraordinary.
Director Ken Wardop (Farewell Packets of Ten) says of the release: "The making of this film has been an incredible journey for all involved. It's fitting that the next leg of this journey will be an Irish release. It's very exciting to finally see it on the big screen where we believe the film belongs and will be most appreciated."
Producer Andrew Freedman (The Herd) is equally enthusiastic: "Following its recent festival run and awards, we're proud to have the opportunity to introduce ‘His & Hers’ to Irish audiences this summer. We're confident cinema goers will be charmed and captivated by the Irish women and their universal story at the heart of this film. "
In addition to the IFTA for Best Feature Documentary, ‘His & Hers’ won the Audience award in the Dublin International Film Festival, The Feature Award in the Galway Film Fleadh, and the Cinematography Award at the Sundance Film Festival 2010.
