The 12th Annual Costume Designer Guild Awards have announced their nominees and Irish costume designer Joan Bergin is amongst them. Joan’s work on ‘The Tudors’ series has been nominated in the category of Outstanding Period/Fantasy Television Series.
This is Joan's third consecutive year to receive a nomination at the Costume Designer Guild Awards. Her work has appeared on the small screen in projects such as ‘David Copperfield’, ‘Anner House’ and ‘The Tudors’ for which she has previously won two IFTA awards and two Emmys. The Irish designer has made the IFTA shortlist once again this year.
Where the big screen is concerned Joan has designed costumes for features including ‘The Prestige’, ‘In the Name of the Father’, ‘Agnes Browne’, ‘Evelyn’ and ‘Veronica Guerin’.
The other two costume designers nominated in the category of Outstanding Period/ Fantasy Television Series are Janie Bryant for ‘Mad Men’ and Audrey Fisher for ‘True Blood’.
The 12th Annual Costume Designers Guild Awards will take place at the Four Seasons Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Los Angeles on Tuesday 25th February.
