The Toronto Film Festival has announced that Irish director Neil Jordan will take part in the festival’s Dialogues: ‘Talking With Pictures’; a film series curated and introduced by renowned directors or film artists who select and discuss films that have inspired them, had a significant impact on their artistic development or were pivotal in the progress of their own careers
The International fest, which runs Sept. 10-19, will see Neil Jordan present Federico Fellini’s classic ‘The White Shiek’. Joining him on the day will be Joe Dante (Gremlins, Small Soldiers) who will present W.C. Fields-starrer ‘It’s a Gift’; Ted Kotcheff (First Blood, Weekend at Bernies) who will present ‘Wake in Fright’ and Sook-Yin Lee (Shortbus) who will present ‘Sweetie’.

Also announced as part of this year’s Toronto Film Festival is its industry program, including the new full-day Doc Conference on Sept. 13 and Doc Roundtables, Sept. 14-16, which will include participation from HBO, Zeitgeist, IFC Films, Sony Pictures Classics, Films Transit, Submarine and Oscilloscope.
