Principal photography commenced in England last week on Warner Bros. Pictures ‘Inception’. Directed by Christopher Nolan (The Dark Knight) the film boasts an all star cast including Irishman Cillian Murphy (The Wind that Shakes the Barley).
This feature is director Nolan and actor Murphy’s third collaboration, with previous projects including; ‘Batman Begins’ and ‘The Dark Knight’. Most of the crew for the shoot of ‘Inception’ have also previously worked with Nolan on ‘The Dark Knight’, which won two Oscars in February including; Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role (Heath Ledger) and Best Achievement in Sound Editing (Richard King).
Filming for ‘Inception’ is scheduled to take place on three continents; locations include Paris, Tamgiers, Calgary and Los Angeles. The contemporary si-fi action film has an international cast of actors including; Leonardo DiCaprio (Blood Diamond), Ellen Page (Juno), Marion Cotillard (La Vie en Rose) and Michael Caine (The Cider House Rules) to name but a few of the high profile stars.
Director Christopher Nolan also wrote the screenplay and is producing the film with his producing partner Emma Thomas, with whom he worked on ‘The Dark Knight’.
Director of Photography Wally Pfister (The Dark Knight) is working alongside Guy Hendrix Dyas (Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull). Post production will be overseen by Editor Lee Smith (The Dark Knight).
‘Inception’ will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures.
