Stuart Kershaw, a filmmaker specialising in hostile locations, journalist, and founder of In the Dark Productions, will be the guest speaker in FilmBase this Saturday, 18 July, as part of Meetforreal’s ‘Ordinary People; Extraordinary Things!’ event.
Adventure Sports meets extreme location filmmaking is the theme of the day. Stuart Kershaw’s expertise with camera equipment and his skills as a filmmaker have given him an opportunity to travel and participate in incredible adventure sports such as ‘7in7on7’ and the ‘Ocean Row Event’.
Also present at the event will be extreme locations filmmaker Tq from Outsider magazine who will be sharing his tips on extreme filmmaking.
Also taking place on the day will be ‘Show my Stuff’, a platform for upcoming filmmakers who want to screen some of their work to the audience. To be eligible to participate in this section you must log onto www.meetforreal.com and place a request in ‘Show My Stuff’.
Tickets cost €13 for meetforreal.com members (to sign up is free) or €18 at the door the afternoon of the event, this cost includes food and drinks.
