A new TG4 Irish dance show, produced by Adare Productions, is searching for the best Irish dancers in the country with filming of its thirteen episodes to commence on May 20th in RTÉ.
Directed by Brian Graham and produced by Tom Evans, the first ten rounds of the show ‘Rí na Rince’ (working title) is to be recorded RTÉ studios from May 20th from which ten winners will emerge, as chosen by the panel of judges. Then over the final three episodes, the ten show winners will go head to head until one series winner emerges. This act, whether a group or individual, will be crown champion of Traditional dance.
Auditions will be held nationwide next week beginning in Killarney (7th May), Cork (8th May), Limerick (8th May), Galway (9th May). Over 100 best dance groups and individuals from all age groups across all disciplines of set, step, sean-nós, céilí, brush dancing will be selected to take to the stage.
