‘Pineapple Express’ co-stars James Franco and Danny McBride and its director David Gordan Green are to re-team to film a new comedy, ‘Your Highness,’ in Northern Ireland this summer.
Scott Stuber is producing through his Universal-based company Stuber Productions with shooting to commence on July 20 in Belfast. Mark Huffam from NI production company Generator Entertainment will executive produce with Stuber’s Jon Mone and Danny McBride.
Scripted by McBride who wrote new HBO series ‘Eastbound & Down’ and Ben Best (What Happens in Vegas) the comedy is set in a medieval fantasy time and follows two lazy who have to are force on a quest to save their father and kidnaps the older prince's fiancé from an evil wizard.
Franco recently starred in ‘Milk’ with Oscar winner Sean Penn and was nominated for a Golden Globe for his role in ‘Pineapple Express’. His other credits include ‘Spider-Man’ and he filmed the romance epic ‘Tristan + Isolde’ in Ireland in 2006. McBride’s other screen credits include ‘Tropic Thunder’.
