‘Home’ Picks Up Three NY Emmy Nominations

Feature documentary ‘Home’ has received three Emmy Nominations (NYC chapter) while it’s filmmaker Alan Cooke has signed a deal with Cinetic Media of New York to bring ‘Home’ onto Digital platforms like iTunes and Amazon Worldwide.

‘Home’ is a meditation on New York and the concept of home from the perspective of recent Irish Immigrant. The film features candid interviews with actors Liam Neeson (Seraphim Falls, Love Actually), Mike Myers (The Love Guru, Austin Powers), Susan Sarandon (Speed Racer, Enchanted), Rosie Perez (Riding in Cars with Boys), Alfred Molina (The Da Vinci Code, Spider Man 2) and writers Fran Libowitz and writer Frank McCourt. The low-budget film shot was shot on various dates from 2004 -2006.

The doc is nominated in the Best Documentary Category - Dawn Scibilia and Alan Cooke and Best Photography - Dawn Scibilia and Best Writing - Alan Cooke in the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The winners will be announced on the 29th of March in New York City.

Cooke’s film has picked up numerous awards including Best Documentary at the Magners Irish Film Festival 2006, Best Documentary award at the 2006 Boston Irish Film Festival and winner at the Chashama Film Festival, New York City 2008.
