MA Screenwriting at NFS Opens for Full & Part-Time Students
02 Feb 2009 :
From October 2009 the MA in Screenwriting at the National Film School at IADT will be offered on both a part-time and a full-time basis. Previously the programme was only taught full-time in a single academic year.

The decision to offer the programme, which was the first of its type in Ireland, to part-time students over a two year duration, will give more writers the opportunity to learn the craft of writing for film and television.

The entry requirements remain as outlined in the Postgraduate Prospectus 2009.

Brendan McCarthy's screenplay - ‘The Wake Wood’ directed by David Keating (The Last of the High Kings) starring Aiden Gillan (The Wire) and Eva Birthisle (Middletown) was written on the course and is now in post-production.

Closing date for applications is 4pm on Friday, 8 May 2009.
