Irish actors Colm Meaney (Three and Out, Intermission) and Michael Gambon (Harry Potter), will join Gerard Butler (300) and Jamie Foxx (Ray) in the thriller ‘Law Abiding Citizen’, to be directed by F. Gary Gray (The Negotiator).

The film is scheduled to begin shooting in Philadelphia on Jan 21. The film is based on a District Attorney who, having organised a plea bargin that allows the murderer of a man’s family to be set free, the man then sets out to revenge the D.A.

The script has been worked on by writers Kurt Wimmer (The Recruit), David Ayer (Harsh Times) and Frank Darabont (The Mist).
