Director Anand Tucker (Shopgirl, When Did You Last See Your Father? ) is set to direct the romantic comedy ‘Leap Year’ for Spyglass Entertainment. The feature is currently mooted to film in Ireland during March 2009.
Penned by writing team Harry Elfont and Deb Kaplan (Made of Honour), US actress Amy Adams (Enchanted) will star as a woman who follows her boyfriend to Dublin in order to propose to him on February 29, the leap day. Irish tradition states that a man receiving a proposal on that day must say yes.
The Irish Film Board has confirmed that an Irish co-producer is currently in talks with Spyglass and co-producers at Benderspink, Chris Bender and JC Spink, to secure filming of the project in Ireland.
