Principal photography is currently underway in Nottingham on the feature film ‘Pelican Blood’ helmed by Dubliner Karl Golden (The Honeymooners) and produced by Ecosse Films.
Irish crew to join Golden on the shoot include Darran Tiernan (Single-Handed), who also worked on ‘The Honeymooners’ as cinematographer, and composer Niall Byrne (How About You). The film will wrap its five week shoot on December 6.
Starring Harry Treadaway (Control, City of Ember) and Emma Booth (Creek), the film recounts an urban love story set in the world of obsessive birdwatchers. The picture is written for the screen by Cris Cole from the Cris Freddi book and is produced by Robert Bernstein and Douglas Rae of Ecosse Films.
Icon Entertainment International has taken U.K. and Australian rights to ‘Pelican Blood’.
