The ‘Creating Futures: Building Ireland’s Cultural and Creative Economy’, will bring together leading experts, cultural entrepreneurs and practitioners who are involved in investment, policy and economic development within the cultural and creative sectors.
IADT will host the conference - ‘Creating Futures: Building Ireland’s Cultural and Creative Economy’, which will take on Wednesday, 29th October.
Amongst an array of topics the conference will give the opportunity to hear from leaders of successful cultural and creative ventures in Ireland and to identify new initiatives needed in the cultural sector as well as quantifying industry jobs internationally and in Ireland.
Alongside an international panel that will include Mr. Jan Runge from the Brussels based KEA European Affairs and Áine O’Keeffe - Head of Public and Parliamentary Affairs and Research Fellow at The Work Foundation UK the National Panel is represented by figures such as Pauline Byrne from the National Conference Centre; Adele Cooper - Marketing Director, Google Ireland; James Hickey - Partner and Head of Entertainment Law Group, Matheson Ormsby Prentice; Owen Keegan - County Manager, Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County Council; John McColgan - CEO, Tyrone Productions; James Morris - Chair of Irish Film Board and CEO of Windmill Lane; Ann O’Connell from PricewaterhouseCoopers; Dr Michael Ryan – Director of the Chester Beatty Library and the author Prof Finbarr Bradley.
