Dun Laoghaire based CR Entertainment’s multi platform teenage series ‘Aisling’s Diary’ has been nominated for the C21 Format Awards as the best multi screen format as part of the MIPCOM TV festival, will be presented at Cannes on Tuesday, 14th October 2008.
The forty, three-minute episodes of Aisling’s Diary which airs on weekdays at 6.30pm is based on the teenage highs and lows of Aisling played by New Yorker Esther Di Maggio and her love interest of Murphy played by Dubliner Chris Newman. The show’s web page allows viewers to interact with each the happenings of each episode through blogs, interviews, behind the scenes footage and interaction with the characters themselves.
In addition to success with Aisling’s Diary, CR Entertainment is also on the short list of nominees for The UK Children’s BAFTA’s for their original cross platform series ‘Sofia’s Diary’ . The programme has been nominated in the categories of Best Drama, Writer (Nuno Bernardo, Melanie Martinezs, Pippa Hinchley), Break Through Talent (Rachel Hyde Harvey, who plays Sofia) and Best Interactive Programme.
Being the only Irish company nominated at MIPCOM TV, founder of CR Entertainment Triona Campbell said; “This format or snack TV is extremely popular with young audiences, who are proving much more difficult to reach through traditional media alone.
