Comsuming Passions
The second series of Wildfire Films ‘Consuming Passions’, which gives an insight into the unusual and absorbing interests of people from across Ireland, kicks off on Wednesday 9th July at 7.00pm on RTÉ One.

The 8 x 30min series filmed from March – June of this year at various locations around Ireland and kicks off with ‘Plane Crazy’, which follows three very different people all with a passion for flying light aircrafts. The series introduces viewers to people with interests including falconry, reptiles, horses and rockabilly - 1950’s music and culture.

‘Consuming Passions’ was directed by IFTA nominated DOP Ciaran Tanham, David Lawless, Adrian McCarthy, IFTA nominated Liz Gill, Ruth Meehan and Conor Horgan and executive produced by Wildfire Films’ Adrian McCarthy and Martha O’Neill. Picture post was completed at Egg with sound post completed at Moynihan Russell.

“We wanted to get a little deeper under the skin of the participants this time around,” series producer Breda Walsh told IFTN. “We had a very high calibre of directors and crew on board for the series and each one is beautifully shot, they give a great insight into these people, who truly live and breathe their passions. For each episode we just used three crew member-one cameraperson, one person on sound and the director, and they managed to capture some amazing footage.”

‘Consuming Passions’ kicks off on RTÉ One at 7pm on Wednesday 9th July.
