Online TV channel Current TV and BRITDOC are seeking innovative film ideas from British and Irish filmmakers for this year’s ‘The Current Pitch’.
The writers of the five best pitches will receive a one-day pass to BRITDOC 2008, taking place from July 23rd-25th 2008 in Oxford, and the chance to pitch their idea to Current executives for potential commission and TV distribution.
The pitch should be for a short film addressing an issue relevant to the lives of 18-34 year olds, their community and world. Subjects could include new trends, counter-culture, social changes, cultural traditions, local or world-wide controversies and global technologies.
The story must be non-fiction and fit into a 3-10 minute long short. Entrants should include a link to a showreel or work sample, if available, in the entry form.
