The fifth annual Mid Ulster Film Festival, taking place from the 2nd - 4th May, is set to host the European Premiere of 'Woman', the winner of The Golden Palm Award at the Beverly Hills Film Festival.
The biopic tells the life story of Nobel Prize nominee, activist Bouthaina Shaaban, who will attend the premiere along with the film's director Ziad H. Hamzeh.
The fest will also host the premiere of the Ulrike Kubatta’s ‘Should Have Gone to The Moon' which tells the story of Jerri Truhill, one of NASA's and the world's first female astronauts in the 1960s.
MUFF will open with a gala screening of the Oscar-winning 'La Vie En Rose', hosted by comedian Kevin McAleer. The biopic tells the life story of French singer, Edith Piaf, played by Best Actress Oscar winner Marion Cotillard.
The festival will also feature other documentaries, shorts, foreign-language films, animations, workshops and seminars.
