Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council has invited applications from artists and arts practitioners across all art forms, including film and visual arts, for its programme of public art commissions, entitled ‘DLR Place and Identity’, which has over €500,000 funding available under the Per Cent for Art Scheme.
Individual artists, arts companies and groups across all art forms, including film, visual arts, theatre, music, literature, dance, traditional arts, architecture, multidisciplinary arts and collaborative arts, are invited to apply.
Focusing on themes of place and identity, DLR’s public art programme encompasses two distinct strands: six artists’ residencies and two once-off projects between May 2008 and January 2010.
Artists and arts practitioners are asked to engage with and seek inspiration from the County - its people, place and identity - in ways that are meaningful to the artists and the citizens of Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown.
The closing date for applications is 7th December 2007. Further info is available from Ciara King or Claire Power, Public Art Programme, at 01 271 9531 or email publicart@dlrcoco.ie.
